HHSC: Value-Based Payment and Quality Improvement Advisory Committee. The Committee gathered to hear presentations and updates on the following: the new Children’s Mental Health Consortium and its supports to primary care practices; Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Networks Texas on engaging managed care organizations about new alternative payment models; the Delivery System Reform and Incentive Payment transition plan; the Alternative Payment Models Initiative; the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Pilot; and more. HHSC: Public Health Funding and Policy Committee. Generally speaking, the committee serves the following functions: (1) Define the core public health services a local health entity should provide in a county or municipality; (2) Evaluate public health in this state and identify initiatives for areas that need improvement; (3) Identify all funding sources available for use by local health entities to perform core public health functions; and (4) Establish public health policy priorities for this state. HHSC: Proposed Medicaid Community Hospice Reimbursement Rates. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) conducted a public hearing to receive public comment on proposed Medicaid Community Hospice reimbursement rates. Proposal. HHSC proposes to increase payment rates for Medicaid Community Hospice for routine home, continuous home, inpatient respite, and general inpatient care services to be effective October 1, 2019. Texas Insight Special Report: Tick Tock, Tick Tock, DSRIP Planning as the 1115 Transformation Waiver Winds Down. When the State received approval to address health care in Texas in new ways, it embarked on a path of innovation loaded with uncertainty. After several years of success, the State is moving into the next phase.
