Texas House of Representatives: Committee on Appropriations. The House Committee on Appropriations had two meetings last week concerning health care and health policy and/or budget updates pertaining thereto. In the first meeting, they discussed the 2020-2021 Biennial Revenue Estimate; the Economic Stabilization Fund; State Spending Limits; State Debt; House Budget Recommendations; Hurricane Harvey Recovery; and other budget matters. Texas Access and Forensic Services. The Joint Committee on Access and Forensic Services gathered to discuss their draft data dashboard concerning the supply and status of state civil and forensic beds; an assessment of the resources necessary to bring more beds online; the current process of transitioning patients in and out of beds, and any refinements needed for that system.
