Texas Behavioral Health. The Behavioral Health Advisory Committee gathered to hear presentations on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health Services; Sober Centers; Legislative Appropriation Requests and exceptional items for behavioral health; and Implementation of Senate Bill 44, 83rd Legislative Session, 2013. House Human Services: HB 4178. The House Committee on Human Services met to consider numerous bills; this report focuses on HB 4178 by Frank, relating to the operation and administration of certain health and human services programs, including the Medicaid managed care program. Senate Health and Human Services. Texas Insight was asked to cover the following bills considered at the Senate Health and Human Services Committee: SB 1096 by Perry – Relating to pharmacy benefits provided through the Medicaid managed care program; SB 1177 by Menéndez – Relating to offering certain evidence-based practices in lieu of other mental health services by a Medicaid managed care organization; SB 1765 by Bettencourt – Relating to the administration and oversight of investigational adult stem cell treatments administered to certain patients; and more.
