Intellectual and Developmental Disability System Redesign Advisory Committee (IDD SRAC) System Adequacy (SA) Subcommitte

1. Welcome, call to order, introductions and roll call. The meeting was convened by Carol Smith. A quorum was established. 2. Consideration of September 19, 2023, draft meeting minutes. The minutes were approved as drafted. 3. IDD SRAC SA’s past recommendations for HHSC’s legislative annual report on implementation, as required by Texas Government Code, Section 534.054. #3_IDD SRAC SA Recommendations_2023.pdf HHSC stated that their goal is to chip away at the recommendations, some of which are the same as the previous year . HHSC would like prioritization so they can be effective in response. There were 174 recommendations. It is impossible for HHSC to work on all these at the same time. There are categories that duplicative and some that are not. Each recommendation was put into a category on a spread sheet. If we can batch these recommendations together it might make it easier to prioritize. Other factors for consideration are legislative direction and cost. These sho
