The Texas Council on Consumer Direction advises on the development, implementation, expansion, and delivery of services through consumer direction, in all programs offering long-term services and supports that enhance a consumer's ability to have freedom and exercise control and authority over the consumer's choices, regardless of age or disability. Welcome and Introductions. The meeting was convened by the Chair, Mika Bradford. Approval of September 10, 2019, minutes. The minutes were approved as written. TEXAS COUNCIL ON CONSUMER DIRECTION EXPIRATION/RENEWAL STATUS UPDATE. Rachael Neely stated that the Council is set to expire in July of 2020. There is an internal process going on for renewal. Ms. Bradford stated that they are going ahead to prepare a letter encouraging their continuation. CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES (CDS) CONFERENCE. Discussion was held about the conference.
