The Texas Autism Council advises and makes recommendations to state agencies and the state Legislature to ensure that the needs of persons of all ages with autism and other pervasive developmental disorders and their families are addressed and that all available resources are coordinated to meet those needs. Council members: Summary and Policy Considerations. The Autism Council met to receive updates and finalize their annual report. The HHSC LAR contains three items of interest to the committee: Maintain Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Services for Children with Disabilities; Provide Intensive Behavioral Intervention for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder; and Provide Transition to the Community and Reduce Community Program Interest Lists.
