HHSC: STAR Kids Managed Care Advisory Committee
The STAR Kids Managed Care Advisory Committee advises on the establishment and implementation of the STAR Kids Medicaid managed care program which provide services for children with disabilities who have Medicaid coverage to improve coordination and customization of care, access to care, health outcomes, cost containment and quality of care.

The Committee gathered for their quarterly meeting to:
Receive a report on the cost-effectiveness of HIPP. There are changes being discussed since services have moved to managed care.
Receive a presentation on the required quarterly therapy report. Some testimony included criticisms of the process used in compiling the data.
Receive an update on the SK-SAI workgroup which is considering breaking out CFC as a separate module in the report. There was a comment about making the information in the assessment more useful in evaluating the effectiveness of the MCOs.
