The Executive Commissioner announced staff changes CMS has approved 12 months postpartum coverage Expansion of state hospital system with two replacement hospitals Unwinding of continuous coverage is nearing the end. The Executive Commissioner thanked those who were involved with this. Chief officers’ remarks. Regarding end of continuous coverage. 10 months of the 12 month period has been accomplished. About 5 million renewals have been accomplished. There are about 800,000 to go. HB12 has been approved by CMS (postpartum coverage). March 1, 2024 is the start date. Those within the 12 month post partum period will be automatically covered. Medicaid HB 12 required the engagement of the Health Plans which have been active in this process.
