MEETING SUMMARY. The Intellectual and Developmental Disability System Redesign Advisory Committee gathered on March 7, 2018. The Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) System Redesign Advisory Committee, created by Government Code, Chapter 534, advises HHSC on the implementation of the acute care services and long-term services and supports (LTSS) system redesign for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Chapter 534 requires HHSC to design and implement an acute care services and LTSS system for people with IDD that supports the following goals: Provide Medicaid services to more people in a cost-efficient manner by providing the type and amount of services most appropriate to the person’s needs.
