Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA): CARES Act Medicaid, CHIP, Dental Provider Relief Funds
Provider Relief Fund Overview
In April, HRSA issued a Medicare-focused general distribution of $50 billion for provider relief, allocating 2% of gross revenue regardless of payor mix to eligible providers. Targeted allocations are also being distributed to providers in areas particularly impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak including safety net hospitals, rural providers, skilled nursing facilities, high impact areas, and tribal hospitals, clinics, and urban health settings.
In early June, HRSA announced $15 billion in Provider Relief Funds for eligible Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, CHIP, and Dental providers to apply if they have not received a payment from the April Medicare-focused general distribution.
