The Adult Safety Net (ASN) Program was created by the Texas Department of State Health Services’ (DSHS) Immunization Unit in order to increase access to vaccination services for uninsured adults in Texas. Their overall goal is to raise immunization coverage and improve the health of Texans. The ASN serves two major target groups: the public and providers. For the public, they provide inexpensive vaccines to uninsured persons aged 19 and older. They assist providers by providing them free vaccines purchased by the state of Texas.
